Meet our 2025/2026 volunteers and interns who in are joining CIM HORYZONTY's activities as a part of the European Solidarity Corps.

Maya
FRANCE
Bonjour!
I’m Maya, I’m 23 years old and I come from a small village in the southwest of France (and no, I don’t live in Paris!). I’ve just graduated with a Master’s degree in Communication and I decided to embark on the adventure of volunteering with CIM Horyzonty. Why? To step out of my comfort zone, meet new people and take part in a meaningful project. It’s my very first time in Poland, so I’m really excited to discover everything (spoiler alert: I already love pierogis!).
In my free time, I like reading, crocheting and singing. I’m passionate about musicals, I’m even part of a musical theatre club! So who knows? Maybe I’ll get to learn some songs in Polish…

Carolin
GERMANY
Hi everyone!
I’m Carolin, but everyone calls me Caro. I come from beautiful Hamburg in the north of Germany. I live in Poland for some time already but now I’m really excited to experience Poznań and it’s vibrant culture from another perspective. I love connecting with people from different backgrounds and contributing to projects that make a positive impact. I’m passionate about creativity in all its forms. In my free time, I enjoy travelling, visiting cozy cafés, learning new languages and discovering local art scenes. I believe volunteering is one of the best ways to grow, learn, and give something back to the community. I’m looking forward to this adventure and can’t wait to see what the next months will bring with my amazing team at CIM Horyzonty!

Sári
HUNGARY
Heyy, Szevasztok!
I’m Sári, from Hungary. I just graduated in Communication and Media science in Budapest and next year, I’m gonna start my masters.
I’m passionate about music and singing, that’s the thing I do most of my time. I like to sit in a park and listen to music, run in different places and also listen to podcasts about social issues, culture, art, religion and politics. I came to Poznan to learn about myself and others, to be in a different atmosphere than my home. Getting out of my comfort zone and trying out new things are challenging but I’m excited to see what I can get out of it. I have been in Krakow twice, but this is my first time up in the North. I’m looking forward to learning and being part of this community.

Ricky
INDONESIA
Hallo!
My name is Ricky, but my mom and my best friend used to call me Handsome :). I am originally from Indonesia.
I am currently a student studying the neuroscience behind creativity. Not only do I love the science behind creativity, but I also enjoy engaging in creative activities through volunteering. Besides working on creative activities like workshops and team building, I also love being a volunteer because I can discover something new, meet and learn from inspiring people. For instance, I could learn Bahasa Indonesia Sign Language (which I fell in love with), where I was volunteering for the first International Deaf Day back in the day. Also, I learnt more about animation not only for kids, but also for seniors during my first season of volunteering with CIM Horyzonty. Additionally, in my free time, I do enjoy a good comedy show, watching and imitating a traditional dance from my country, impulsively learn new languages from YouTube, then forgetting about them, and learn more about history and human rights. To sum up, as this is gonna be my second time being a volunteer with CIM Horyzonty, I know that I would learn a lot and have fun and I am so excited!

Maja
SPAIN
Hola!!! Qué tal?
HI! I’m Maja, and even though my name doesn’t seem like it, I’m from SPAIN.I haven’t studied anything yet, because I still don’t know what to study. That’s one of the reasons that now i can be found in another country, in Poland, doing a volunteering. Back in Spain, I grew up in my own organization in my village in between the mountains, a really beautiful place. And that’s why I’m so interested and in love with non-formal education, because I could experience it firsthand. I love Arts, and I’ve studied it, but I don’t know if I would like to work with my passions.
So now I’m here, Hi! (Again). And I can’t wait for all the new experiences, for all the learning, and for living this amazing adventure. And while doing all of that and more, I hope that I’ll be able to put my own grain of sand in this world, that I’ll be able to help somehow…;)

Bianca
ROMANIA
Bună!!
I’m Bianca , I’m 21 years old and I come from the country of Dracula. It’s my third time in Poznan and I’m really happy that I can explore myself more and more here and discover parts of me that I never knew about. I’m still a student, I study restauration and conservation of cultural heritage and I’m very interested in Art in general, especially contemporary art.
In my free time I love listening to music , travelling or spending quality time with my friends. I’m really happy to be again part of beautiful Horyzonty team and can’t wait to create the best memories with my lovely team.

Sofia
UKRAINE
Hello!
My name is Sofia, and I’m from Odesa, Ukraine. Over the past four years, I’ve been studying geography and migration in Slovakia, and now I’m taking a gap year to explore, learn, and experience something new here in Poland. It’s not my first time in this country, but it’s my first time in Poznań, and I’m really excited to be here! I’m very interested in social topics, cultures, and languages, which is why I believe CIM Horyzonty is the perfect place to learn from and connect with people in Poland. In my free time, I love drawing, exploring cozy places around the city, and visiting flea markets or second-hand shops, since collecting vintage items is my passion.
I can’t wait to see what this new adventure will bring 🙂

Nikolett
Hungary
My name is Nikolett. I was born in Hungary and grew up in Budapest. I studied Communication and Media, and after high school, I worked at a Hungarian television company. I love creative things, especially photography and editing. Sports are also a big part of my life. My favorite Hungarian dish is my grandmother’s goulash soup. I decided to participate in a volunteer program working with children because I have long been interested in child psychology. When I was little, I wanted to be a kindergarten teacher, but that took a backseat due to my studies.
