EUROPEJSKI KORPUS SOLIDARNOŚCI (ESC) 2026/2027

The main goal of the project is to build a cross-cultural community in Poznań and to promote intercultural dialogue. The initiative aims to create an open urban space where everyone - regardless of their background, life experiences, or level of ability - can feel fully integrated and accepted.

Meet the volunteers of the European Solidarity Corps program who will be joining CIM HORYZONTY’s activities in 2026/2027.

Together, they will carry out social, educational, artistic, and intercultural initiatives to support the local community in Poznań.

Lilou

France

Hi, I’m Lilou from France. I’ve been a cat lover for 22 years. I’m a business school student.

I really enjoy rap and electro music but also cinema and feminist essays. I love art and creativity especially in makeup where I can express myself. It is my first time in Poland and I already love Poznan. I can’t wait to learn a lot about everyone’s culture and to try every Pierogis flavour. I am strongly committed to diversity and inclusion, and I want to actively reflect these values within the organisation.

Elina

UKRAINE

Hi everyone!

My name is Elina, I’m 26 years old. I’m from Odesa Ukraine. At first I’ve came to Poznań to study Graphic Design and Animation.

I finished my study’s and decided to stay and live in Poznań.I spend most of my free time drawing or working on new creative projects. I love not only drawing but also doing crafts, photographing, sewing, and sculpting. I even started to learn tattooing.

But my absolute favorite activity is learning more about the nature around us and spending time outdoors. I’m a fan of strange, exotic animals and insects—some of them I even have as my pets. I appreciate all of them, but mostly i give my love to unloved.

For a long time i tried to find my place as a creator and artist. I think CIM Horyzonty is a perfect place for that. It’s inspiring to volunteer as an artist, to meet new people! I’m excited to begin my journey with CIM Horyzonty and my lovely team!

Anna

BELARUS

Hi! My name is Anna and I am from Belarus. One of my biggest passions is travelling and learning about different cultures.

After graduating in International Relations, I worked in Switzerland and got to explore the world a little more along the way. I’ve visited Poland several times before and always wanted to immerse myself deeper in its culture and make a meaningful impact. That’s why I believe volunteering with CIM Horyzonty is the perfect way to spend time before starting my Master’s. I am particularly excited about the work with local community. Can’t wait to contribute to this project and see what experiences this new adventure will bring!

As a person, I’m curious, open-minded and always eager to connect with people. In my free time, I enjoy reading, playing the piano, drawing, dancing, running, hiking and exploring new places.

Raquel

SPAIN

Hi! I’m Raquel, a 29-year-old Spanish volunteer. I studied English Philology and later International Trade. However, I decided to join this volunteering project because I wanted to change direction and step out of my comfort zone. I’m also a proud ‘Zillennial’ — somewhere between Gen Z and millennial humor — so memes are definitely part of my personality. I love music that brings good energy and gives strong Euro-summer vibes. Dogs always make me smile, and I really enjoy long sunny days with family and friends, especially when they turn into unexpected side quests or random adventures. Right now, I’m in a stage of life where I want to explore new interests, meet new people and make the most out of new experiences.

Nadia

MOROCCO

Hello everyone! My name is Nadia, I am 26 years old and I come from a small beautiful city in Morocco with big goals and a passion for discovering new cultures, community development, and meeting people from different backgrounds. I graduated in Literature and Human Sciences – English Studies. Over the past years, I have been involved in community development and volunteering experiences, including one year serving communities affected by the 2023 Al Haouz earthquake in Morocco, one year working on community development projects in Ghana, and participating in youth development training program in Kenya. I also hold a black belt in karate sport. I am very interested in non-formal education, intercultural exchange, and youth empowerment, which is why joining CIM Horyzonty is such a meaningful opportunity for me. I am excited to learn, contribute, share my culture, and create unforgettable experiences with people from all around the world, and I am looking forward to doing amazing things together.

By the way, the traditional outfit I am wearing is from West Africa

działania

The project is based on four pillars, implemented by volunteers:

  • Social integration: Organizing film clubs, language cafés, and cooking workshops that foster relationship-building.
  • Education: Running summer camps for children and free language courses.
  • Inclusion Through the Arts: Regular music and theater workshops organized in collaboration with international partners.
  • Building solidarity: Fostering civic values, strengthening empathy, and bridging the generational gap.

At the heart of the project are volunteers whose efforts reach various social groups, including seniors, migrants, and people with disabilities. As part of inter-organizational solidarity, project participants also support local initiatives and partners through their activities, such as:

  • Uroczysko Festival,
  • The Ferajna Foundation,
  • Cat Shelter.

The “Broaden Our Horizons” project is a step toward making Poznań an open, inclusive, and barrier-free city.
