During this year’s edition of Intercultural Week, which we are organizing in Poznań, it was the fifth time by the Scientific Club of Intercultural Education that a MEETING WITH LIVE BOOKS took place in the III Secondary School in Poznań.
It was a place of reading interaction. Here, however, the books were not rigid volumes, but people and their stories, who represented various national and cultural groups.
Very often we pass these people on the street, and yet we do not know much about them. MEETING WITH LIVING BOOKS was an opportunity to confront your ideas with reality, but above all to meet other people.
Pupils and pupils had the opportunity to talk with their older colleagues from Rwanda, Bangladesh, Egypt, Georgia, DR Congo, Greece, India, Nicaragua, Ecuador, Jordan, France, Mauritius and Taiwan. By the way, they had the opportunity to test their language skills in practice!
The meeting was held in cooperation with CIM Horizons and Poznan University of Technology LLL & International Education Office as part of the Drogowskaz project at the crossroads of cultures financed by the city of Poznań.
To było miejsce interakcji czytelniczej. Tu książkami nie były jednak sztywne tomy, ale ludzie i ich opowieści, którzy reprezentowali różne grupy narodowe oraz kulturowe. Bardzo często mijamy te osoby na ulicy, a jednak nie wiemy o nich zbyt wiele. SPOTKANIE Z ŻYWYMI KSIĄŻKAMI było okazją, aby skonfrontować swoje wyobrażenia z rzeczywistością, ale przede wszystkim, aby spotkać się z drugim człowiekiem. Uczniowie i uczennice mieli okazję porozmawiać ze swoimi starszymi kolegami i koleżankami z Rwandy, Bangladeszu, Egiptu, Gruzji, DR Kongo, Grecji, Indii, Nikaragui, Ekwadoru, Jordanii, Francji, Mauritiusa oraz Tajwanu. Przy okazji mieli możliwość sprawdzenia swoich umiejętności językowych w praktyce! Spotkanie odbyło się we współpracy z CIM Horyzonty oraz Poznan University of Technology LLL& International Education Office w ramach projektu Drogowskaz na skrzyżowaniu kultur finansowanego ze środków miasta Poznań.
