Preparatory Visit within the Erasmus+ Project “Journey to the Future – Seniors in the Digital and Intercultural World”

From 7 to 11 November 2025, representatives of CIM Horyzonty Association took part in a preparatory visit (Vb) within the Erasmus+ project “Journey to the Future – Seniors in the Digital and Intercultural World.”
The meeting took place in Siegmundsburg (Thuringia, Germany) at the welcoming Haus Werraquelle (SHW) guesthouse.

The Polish delegation included Ula Kisiel-Grzanka, project coordinator, and Elżbieta Łuszczyk and Jolanta Ofierzyńska, senior leaders from the Relaks Senior Club.

During the visit, partners from Poland and Germany discussed organizational, financial, and program-related matters connected with the December group mobility, which will focus on developing digital and intercultural competences among seniors.
The agenda also included working meetings, study visits, and the exchange of good practices in working with older adults.

On the second day, participants visited the picturesque town of Lauscha, famous for its tradition of colored glassworks. They witnessed the fascinating process of making glass Christmas ornaments – it was here that the very first glass baubles were created, now an essential symbol of Christmas celebrations all over the world.

The following day, the group visited Erfurt, the capital of Thuringia, where one of the days of the December mobility will take place. A walk through the beautiful old town, including the historic Krämerbrücke Bridge, and meetings with local partners helped shape the upcoming cultural and educational program for seniors.

The visit was filled with inspiration, warmth, and partnership spirit, further strengthening cooperation between CIM Horyzonty and Siegmundsburger Haus Werraquelle GmbH.
The project is co-financed by the European Union under the Erasmus+ program.
